View Full Version : Overclocking my xp2800

I want to overclock my AMD Athlon "Barton" XP2800 (333FSB). Havent done this before and dont really know where to start. Any advise and help would be appreciated....i only have 512mb of ram, but am gettin a gig soon.


Heres my spec atm:

Athlon xp 2800 "barton"
Coolermaster aero 7+ (http://www.coolermaster.com/index.php?LT=english&Language_s=2&url_place=product&p_serial=ASB-V73&other_title=ASB-V73Aero%207%2B)
MSI K7N2 Delta-L Nforce2
512 MB 184-pin DIMM ddr pc3200 (crucial)
40gh hard drive (dunno wot speed it is, just that its western digital and about 2 yrs old)

i'm in the same postion nokl. I av an amd 2800 with an coolermaster jet + fan and heatsink. I also have my 9600xt graphics card with an artic cooler and wondered if that was clockable? I also av 1gb or cruical pc3200 ram

Both of you, can start by going to www.amdmb.com and registering in the forums. Then find the thread that covers your motherboard and look at the posts and compare your components to other O/C dudes you aim to emulate in the O/C stakes ;)
