OK, atm i have an Nvidia Ti 4800 SE 128mb (so shit you wont belive it) and have been attempting to play the latest gems, but strangly finding myself gettin very pissed off the with shite performance i get. It passing on 3-4 years old now and im now going to get a new GFX card.

couple of questions tho,
1. why are the PCI-E crads so cheap compared with the AGP?
2. would i see much of a perfomance difference between my current card and a Radeon 9800 pro ?

Also i am not the richest man in the world, and am only looking to spend £150-200 topps mark and want the best performance for my money.

AGP FX 6600GT gets my vote over a 9800Pro, as much as it pains me to say that.

OR a plain 6800:

The 6600GT is stronger than a 9800PRO in 95% of stuff and is stronger on the battlefield engine iirc.

:D Planned to buy a AGP FX 6600GT, and now when foots recommended it, I'm 100% sure:P

Or in the next price category the 800XL is a very strong contender. The PCI-E are only around £200 and imo are the best "bang for buck" at the moment. Ive seen benches with them beating 6800GT's. I think the AGP variety are a bit more expensive though, around £220.

Erm, pretty sure the LE is a slower version of a normal 6800....

Slower clock speed and less pipelines I believe.

true nick, true. but truely what does 4 less pipelines mean to me anyway, all i wanted was something that could play the latest games to a good standard and be a shit load better than my ti 4800

Lol you nugget, the fully fledged 6800 was only £8 more from my link. For £8 I would sure as hell have the 12 pipelines and the faster core speed thanks :(.

well i bought my x800pro last june and stil not wanting to upgrade yet, i bought it for a silly £360 at the time due to the fact it was less than a few days old but got a feeling this cards gonna reach 2-3 year old - almost as good a buy as my old ti 4600.

(though a bit more pricy)
